Our Reception Classroom has been specially designed to offer challenging open ended activities and independent learning opportunites. It is a calm yet challenging environment with open areas to play, explore and investigate.

We have access to fine motor and sensory activities under our conservatory along with cosy reading area, creative zone and role play area inside. We value the use of IT and have iPads, Laptops and Netbooks that are used regularly with the children to support and enhance learning.

Reception have free flow use of the outdoor learning area where they can develop gross motor skills using with trikes and scooters and climbing frame. We enjoy exploring with natural materials, den building and mud kitchens and challenging ourselves on the adventure play area.

We also have a Forest School on site and sessions for Reception will run thought out the year with our trained Forest School leaders. Our Early Years Forest Play area can be accessed at any time during the school day to support learning outdoors.
