Welcome to Oakhill Community Primary School website. We hope you find it both interesting and informative. We are a Federated School, joined with Hanbury's Farm Primary School. We find this has many advantages and we draw on the strengths and staff expertise from both settings. We serve the Belgrave and Glascote Heath areas of Tamworth in Staffordshire.
We are a wonderful school and pupils can join us from the September following their third birthday. Our facilities are first class and many pupils gain a significant educational advantage at this stage. Teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage has been judged by Ofsted as outstanding and teaching is of the highest quality. Children are encouraged to make their own choices in Early Years. There is a wide range of activities linked to the development of the children's skills and the teachers encourage learning through discovery. The childrens knowledge and understanding of the world is developed through literacy and numeracy.
We believe that children have just one childhood; we want their earliest school experience to be an exciting, magical and fun-filled journey, packed with inspirational and unforgettable learning experiences.
We nurture and encourage our children to explore, to invent and to create. By steering their natural curiosity we develop children to become confident, bold and prepared to be challenged. Our children learn about, and have confidence in, themselves as learners. They set themselves goals and have high aspirations for their future. We aspire to build individual learning powers and enjoy an ethos that builds high levels of self-esteem; instils a strong determination to succeed and promotes a thirst for life-long learning.
Our strengths are recognised throughout the community; and many parents enrol their children with us because of the school's improving reputation.
I feel so passionate about Oakhill and our children that I could write forever about my school, but I doubt whether the web is big enough! I hope that you find everything you need on this website, but if there are any further questions please contact us and come for a visit.
