Below you will find some useful information about Year 3.

Routines

Our day starts at 8:45 in the morning, with doors opening at 8:40am.

Our finish time is 3:00pm.

Homework 

• Reading 

Children should be reading daily to improve their fluency. We should also help the children develop a love of reading. You can do this at home by sharing books with them and reading to them. 

Please ensure that your child reading folder is in school every day, so that we can hear them read and change their reading books regularly.

Your children may want to look for any ambitious vocabulary to add to our class board.

• Maths homework

Each child has been issued with a Maths practice workbook. This will be sent home on Fridays and must be handed in on Wednesdays. 

Useful websites and resources

These are websites that will help your child consolidate and advance their learning in a fun way. 

Times Tables Rock Stars - Another fun game to learn rapid recall of times tables and their related facts. 

Hit the Button - this is a fun game to help children practise recalling a range of number facts. We use it a lot in class to practice our number bonds. The children love it!

PE Information 

PE Days are Monday and Friday.  Please remember to send children with their PE kit to change into at school as well as their water bottles. This half term we are focussing on the personal cog.
