Growing and Succeeding Together

School Day

8.45am start, 3pm finish

But our school day is so much more than this...

The doors and gates open at 8.40am to allow the children a relaxed start to the day, allowing for friends to chat, reading folders and lunch boxes to be stored away, registers and dinners completed.

Learning starts at 8.45am. The registers are closed at 9.20am. Any children arriving after this time have their morning session recorded as an unauthorised absence.

Morning break is 15 minutes from 11:00am to 11:15am.

Lunch is 45 minutes from 12.15pm to 1pm. During the Autumn term, Reception children are however seated at 12 noon, to enable them to adjust to the routine of eating in the hall and the time to eat their lunches.

The school day finishes at 3pm and children are released to their nominated person. If the person collecting is not the person expected the pupil/pupils will be taken to the school office for the staff there to contact the parent/carer to obtain consent.

We have three assemblies each week - our whole school special mentions, a JIGSAW assembly linked to the half termly theme and a singing assembly. . We have a very close relationship with St.Peter's Church, adjacent to the school. Reverend Mike also leads assemblies on a regular basis.

We enjoy the support of several parents who volunteer in school supporting the children’s learning.  We welcome volunteers and are always looking for new people to come and join us.
