My name is Mrs Melloy and I have been working at Oakhill Primary School for the last 10 years based in Reception. Early Years is my passion and I believe that all of the experiences the children receive during their early years are really important. We are building the foundations on which the children will grow and flourish.
It is important to allow an atmosphere of curiosity and engagement in learning where children are encouraged to take ownership of their thoughts and ideas, the children are recognised as competent learners who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog Amber, a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel and being a taxi service to my two boys. Oliver aged 11 and Louis aged 8. The majority of my time outside of school is spent taking them to and from after school activities including swimming, football and kick boxing and watching Louis play football on both Saturday and Sunday.
