Growing and Succeeding Together
Here are the staff who work in your classroom:
Mrs E Price
Below you will find some useful information about Year 3.
Our day starts at 8:45 in the morning.
Please be on time so we listen to you read and share ambitious vocabulary.
Our finish time is 3:00pm.
Children should be reading daily to improve their fluency. We should also help the children develop a love of reading. You can do this at home by sharing books with them and reading to them.
Please ensure that your child reading folder is in school every day, so that we can hear them read and change their reading books regularly.
Watch this video to learn how children are taught to say the sounds.
Your children may want to look for any ambitious vocabulary to add to our class board.
Which word impressed you in your reading ?
Which word do you want to use in your writing to impress the reader?
Each child has been issued with a Maths practice workbook. This will be sent home on Fridays and must be handed in on Tuesdays.
These are websites that will help your child consolidate and advance their learning in a fun way.
Numbots - This is a maths game, which will help children develop their mental maths.
Times Tables Rock Stars - Another fun game to learn rapid recall of times tables and their related facts.
Hit the Button - this is a fun game to help children practise recalling a range of number facts. We use it a lot in class to practice our number bonds. The children love it!
Phonics Play - A useful resource to learn about phonics with some fun free games to play.
Your PE day is a Friday, please come to school wearing your PE kit on these days.
You kit should consist of a white t-shirt, black shorts or joggers and pumps of trainers. You can also wear a black hoodie or sweater to keep you warm if lessons are outside.
Please also come to school on Mondays in your PE kit so you can enjoy the lunch time sports provision.
